About Courtney
Court is an alternative artist and lover of abstract work. Born, raised, and situated in Toronto, Court strives to create unique and interesting photographs that haven’t been seen or attempted before. Court is not just a model; from the formation of the original concept, to the execution of the project, Court plays all the roles (aside from photographer). From the hair and make up, to the wardrobe, styling and props, she is the solo head of each department. That is how her works stays unapologetically Court.
Where do her ideas come from? That’s a fully loaded question with a broad answer. The answer is that she gets them all over the place. Sometimes she likes to put twists on existing figures (such as her take on Maleficent in the Creatives Category) or existing stories (Such as the Wizard of Oz Gone Wrong series in the Fantasy/ Creatives Category). Sometimes she is inspired by a certain prop or wardrobe piece and builds a concept around that as the focal point (such as the mask from the Hannibal Series found in the Fantasy/Creatives Category). Sometimes it can be as simple as wanting to create a vision out of a basic thing (such as my boudoir shoots in Orange/Pink/Blue, more to come!). The one thing they all have in common are that they come strictly from her imagination.
